WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY 2023

On World Children’s Day 2023, Spectrum Markets announced a new three-month project, made possible by our charity partner, Sightsavers.

This initiative, conceived by Spectrum Markets, will run from November 2023 until February 2024 and will provide skills training to 15 girls and four teachers in North West Nigeria.

Lagos State Universal Education Board and the Industrial Training Fund, both of which are existing partners of Sightsavers, will be involved in this programme which focuses on girls with disabilities with the aim of empowering the girls, positioning them for a future of self-sufficiency.

WORLD SIGHT DAY 2023

Through our partnership with Sightsavers we're helping to protect sight and fight for disability rights. For World Sight Day, we made this Eye Creation to raise awareness of their incredible work.

WORLD HEALTH DAY 2023

On 7 April 2023 we celebrated World Health Day, which also marked the second anniversary of our ongoing partnership with Sightsavers. We’re proud of the impact that our support has had over the last two years, and look forward to many more years working together.

VISION, OPPORTUNITY AND PARTICIPATION

Providing access to education and medical services is one of the most effective routes to alleviating poverty and improving the life-chances of people living in marginalised communities.

The work of our charity partner Sightsavers is a perfect example of this in action.

Read how the prospects of women and girls with treatable blindness are being transformed, in this update from Sightsavers' Senior Programme Manager for Eye Health in Nigeria, Selben Penzin.
